so, its been announced, its you as Vic Vance, Lance's brother, in 1984. Vic is an ex-marine and he needs to help Lance and his family get out of the traler park lifestyle, yes, the Vance's are poor. the game will take place in a bigger version of Vice City (how will they explain this??) it takes place on the SA engine (not announced, but its obvious by the stuff they explain about the game, like LCS using the VC engine) so is annyone really excited? im interested to see how the game pans out, but i wont be really interested untill they announce a PS2 port of it

So its gonna be a different map? Damn sounds cool. Annoying though i am not going to be living this year with my housemate who had the PSP last year. Means i probably won't be able to play it till it comes out on PS2.

When the say the map is different............they mean they add a new house or two.
Ya'll know its not gonna be a lot different, look at LCS. |

well, its based on the SA engine, and they already gave details of a traler park, but one must wonder how they will explain new territorry? probibly the construction sites will be trailer parks or old crap buildings

But how could they really make it bigger?
Vice City was two big islands. So unless they make a third island like 20 miles from Vice City which you had to swim, fly, or use a boat to get to. I don't see how they could make it any bigger. Since its 3-4 years before GTA:VC they could always make a story about how the Cubans bombed that new island....or somethang like that. |

the super distant island sounds mildly possible, or maybe a number of small interconnected islands that get wiped out completely in a hurricane?

I have a quick question.
In GTA3 & Vice City how far could you go in the water? Because in SA it seemed like you could go forever. Did they pull a truman Show type thing in the other two games? |

Well you didn't hit a wall but your boat would just slow down till it stopped and then it kind of turned around without you doing anything. And yeah in SA you could go on forever, it was stupid. |

It was clever in GTA3 and VC with that. I mean its hard to implement, and the slowing and turning was better than just a hard stop or something I guess.

yea, i agree, going forever is pointless, and it it messed up the game, it created gang territorries in dumb places
