GTA Liberty City stores is coming out on PS2 on 4/24/06

Wtf?
Hods
Already completed it on the PSP. But might buy that if i get some money.
BlackMist
Yeah I saw that a few days ago.

Not 100% sure if its true.

1) Have not heard anything about it for awhile

2) No ads, no magazines, no online sites

3) On EB there was no picture

4) There was no info on EB

It will come out but I don't know if it will come out that soon...
Zoggy
I think Rockstar knows its going to suck so they're not making a big deal out of it.
Hods
Well it didn't suck on the PSP.
GTASAFreak14
Whats the new stuff in GTA:LCS, is the map any different?
Zoggy
That's because its one of a kind on the PSP. It already exists on PS2... its called GTA3
Hods
The map is very similar, but quite a bit of stuff is different.

Its set before GTA3 and there aren't any tunnels, there are boats instead, also quite a large area of Staunton is different, and the tunnels in northern shoreside actually go somewhere. (they join up. duh)
Cool Bo C
It was a cool game on the PSP. The PS2 can do better though, so it won't be as good as SA. You could finish it in a few sittings I'd imagine.

Yeah a few sittings of 10 hours!

Anyways, I think they will just reboost the graphics and call it a day.

But I bet it will still be worth 30 BIG ones.
Hods
GodOfGTA is right. The game was pretty short, I am sure you could complete the the storyline in 2 days if you were that crazy.
GTASAFreak14
Yea, I can do that, I beat Driver: Parallel Lines in about 15 hours maybe? Less than two days. Althought, San Andreas and Vice City took me a while to beat.

See thats what kind of nerd you are.

Playing video games for about 7 hours a day.

NERD!
GTASAFreak14
Well I'm not really a nerd, I only stay in if it's cold or raining, or if my dad doesn't tell me to go outside:).

Do you live in the Amazon or something?
BlackMist
Do you live in GayLand!
GTASAFreak14
lol, nope. Pennsylvania in the US.
Hods
Do you know Buscuit?
GTASAFreak14
Do you mean do I know him in person? No. On this board? Yes, I've seen him post things.

GTA: LCS for PS2 comes out June 6 with a price of around $20:

QUOTE
The day of release for a new installment of Grand Theft Auto for the PlayStation 2 has become synonymous with "sick" days, $50 out of the wallet, and late October. Taking advantage of its popularity and the holiday season, Rockstar Games has always sent each edition of its flagship franchise to stores just before November and has never found a reason to debut the games for less than half a Benjamin.

That's all about to change for the controversial game, as Rockstar today announced that Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories will be available for the PlayStation 2 on June 6 for an MSRP of $19.99. The game will come to Europe on June 9 for 29.99 euros ($37) or 19.99 GBP ($35).

Though this isn't the debut of this particular chapter of GTA (it was released late last October on the PSP), it is the debut of the game on a console--a very widespread one, at that.

Gamers anxious to return to Liberty City, the setting of Grand Theft Auto III, have long been wondering exactly when the game would come out (it was originally due in April but was then delayed) and how much it would be released for. The PS2 version was revealed in January and originally expected to hit stores in April, and Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Paul Eibeler, announced in March that the game would be cheaper than the $50 PSP version.

Though the game was already released for the PSP, it doesn't mean that this latest version doesn't have a chance to follow in its PS2 GTA predecessor's footsteps as a retail success. Though the PSP has shipped nearly 20 million units (as of the end of 2005, just over 15 million units shipped), the PS2 has sold more than 100 million units.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PlayStation 2 has not yet been rated, however, it's likely to receive the same M-for-Mature rating that its PSP counterpart had. As of press time, online retailers still listed the game at $29.99.
GTASAFreak14
And I ask again... Do you mean do I know him in person? No. On this board? Yes, I've seen him post things.
BlackMist
I'll ask you two questions:

1) Do you know Buscuit in person?

2) Do you know Buscuit on the internet?
Hods
Buscuit comes from Pennsylvania as well. Thats the only reason i said it.
Cool Bo C
I come from your Mum's house.

Don't be makin fun of my momma.

Who would actually get LCS for Ps2?
GTASAFreak14
No I do not know Buscuit in person, yes I do know him on the internet now that I came on hyperboard. Buscuit, what part of Pennsylvania do you come from (Northwest, Southeast, ect?). Wait, is buscuit even on this topic, oops, lol.
BlackMist
I plan of getting LCS since that I have no PSP.
GTASAFreak14
I'm not planning on getting it, I want a GTA that's totally different, which I want them to work on more instead of this.
Buscuit
im form NE PA

GTA: LCS = June 6th, $20 US
..................June 9th, E30 Eu (sorry, i have no Euros symbol)
GTASAFreak14
Oh, I'm from NW PA.
BlackMist
Went to Best Buy today and picked up Ice Cube's new Cd and LCS. But I have yet to play it.

But the Ice Cube cd is GANGSTA!
Cool Bo C
Amen to that.
BlackMist
Played LCS for a little over 90 mins.

Pretty good.

I liked driving round on a bike.

WEE!
Hods
Yeah, that is cool.

I might actually buy this because amazon are selling it for £15 here and since normal PS2 games cost £40 its a bargain.
BlackMist
Yeah but its almost the same as the psp version....just worst.
GTASAFreak14
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what's that in American money?
Hods

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what's that in American money?

£15 is $27
£40 is $74

$74 probably seems a lot for a game, but its the normal price we pay. Xbox 360 games are £50 here, thats almost $100!
Buscuit
LCS is $20, which is a mega-bargain!
ill be getting mine next time im out, provided its in stock!

No. I was just saying that 15 pounds is 27 dollars, which it is. Since you get it for $20 means your getting it $7 cheaper than us. But thats always the case.
BlackMist
Fine!

Be an assh0le
Hods
You just gotta learn. Otherwise you'll never get out of the ghetto.
GTASAFreak14
lol, confusing, but ok!

I know this is off topic but, how much are gas prices there? My English friend Matt told me that they pay like... I don't know... a lot per gallon.
Hods
Yeah we pay a lot for petrol/gas.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petrol

At the bottom of that page has a list of them;

US - $3.41 a gallon
UK - $6.87 a gallon

Thats a huge difference! It seems we have to pay the most.
GTASAFreak14
Geez! Venesuala pays like nothing!
Hods
Yeah i know. Some of those countries pay 60 times less than us. Doesn't make any sense.
Buscuit
apparently you guys have a lot of diesel cars, how much are diesel prices? much lower? or slightly higher (added milage)

btw, yur right BM, i didnt think it was going to be a huge sell out, but its sold out everywhere, im screwed...
BlackMist
Try a place like Best Buy.

Cause at all of the nerdy shops (Gamestop, EBgames, Etc.) they will be solded out.
GTASAFreak14
Yea I'm just afraid of gas prices in three years. They have to find something else to make cars run.

By the way I think Best Buy is too overpriced, I was looking for laptops there and they had like $1,000 laptops that can be sold much cheaper somewhere else. But I don't know about video games, cause I usually shop at gamestop in the mall.

Its a little more. But works out cheaper for the miles per gallon.

And GTA isn't out here until June 23rd, i thought it was this week.
